Match Reports for Redhill Town FC
5 & 6th March 2011

A couple of Pix from the U7's match

Oxshott Royal u9 0 – 0 Redhill Town U9’s
Redhill Town U9 gives Oxshott Royals their biggest defeat of the season, with a comfortable 5-0 score.
The first half got off to a perfect start when Tom Hiscock scored a great goal in the 1st minute, with a hard low shot into the bottom corner. Joshua Jeffrey made some great runs down the right wing and hit many superb crosses into the penalty box, which caused the Oxshott defence to work overtime. Just before half-time , Tom Hiscock made an amazing solo run from the half-way line and slotted home his 13th goal of the season to give Redhill Town a 2-0 lead at half-time.
The second half saw the introduction of Zach Layne, Charlie Minter and Hadyn Puttick which gave Oxshott Royals their worst nightmare. Luke Stevens moved up into midfield to show off his amazing left-wing skills and crosses which set Zach Layne up for two superb goals, which he literally walks into the goal with ease. The best goal was saved till last, when Kane Taylor looked up and amazingly smashed a shot at goal from 20 yards out which crashed off the crossbar and into the goal, to give Redhill town a hard-worked 5-0 victory.
Man of the Match: Joshua Jeffrey

Merstham u10’s 3 – 6 Redhill Town u10’s
Redhill Town U10s go top of the table again after beating Merstham in the fight for all the points in a closely fought out local derby. Town started strong on the ball attacking on the wings with Dale Wooster & Danny Pescud giving the reds a 2 goal lead at half time. The second half started well as Harry Pope made it 3 but man marking went out of the window and Merstham were given a free header, this seemed to lift the moatsiders until Harry Pope struck home to make it 4-1. Merstham capitalised on the lack of concentration for two corners and they crept back into the game 4-3 just down and they looked sure to get a share of the points, but defenders Nathan Pederson & Chris Pope shut down any attacks whilst Bradley Roda, Dale Wooster & Danny Pascud lifted the pace and Harry Pope soon fired home 2 to leave the final score 6-3.

Epsom & Ewell League Division 1 – League Match 05/03/2011
Redhill Town U11s 0 – 9 NPL Youth U11’s
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NPL can thank some hapless Redhill defending for a somewhat flattering scoreline.

Despite going behind in the 5th minute, Redhill were a match for NPL for the remainder of the first half, until a pin-ball goalmouth scramble where the ball fell to an unmarked NPL player to slot home their second in the 26th minute.
Redhill had carved out some decent chances of their own, with Harry Williams thwarted by the NPL keeper on several occasions and on the stroke of half-time a terrific long-range shot from Ryan O’Donovan was pushed away by the NPL keeper.

The second half will be one Redhill will want to forget, as virtually everything NPL touched turned to goals.  Some terrific saves from Charlie Case-Green had kept the score respectable, but he could do nothing to stop 2 further strikes in the 37th and 42nd minutes.
A minute later and NPL bundled in their 5th after a goalmouth scramble and at this point Redhill’s heads seemed to drop, with a further 4 goals conceded in the final 10 minutes.

Epsom and Ewell League  Div One
Redhill Town U 13's 2 v 2 Teddington Hearts

In a tightly forced contest Redhill Town U 13's drew two all with Teddington Hearts,
Teddington took the lead after 25 mins when the Teddington striker was allowed too much space to strike home.
The lead did not last long when Redhill responded with continued pressure and Sebastian Flint outpacing the Hearts defence to equalise.
The second half was very even, however it was Flint again who rifled in his shot on the edge of the penalty area to give the Reds the lead.
The game at the time was end to end and Teddington equalised after a fortunate cross drifted its way into the top corner making it two all.
Further chances fell to both sides but both defences held firm and saw a draw

Holland Sports team u16 2 – 2 Redhill Town u16

Redhill Town U16’s started slowly against a very determined  Holland Sports team. Holland scored first from a freebe givaway from the Redhill defense. Goalkeeper Josh had no chance to save. This spurred Redhill on from their experienced midfield pair of Matt Walsh and Harrison Dauncey. They finally were rewarded with a fine goal from Elliott Steventon to draw the teams level. The second half progressed with Redhill in the ascendancy with fine runs down the wings from Tom O’Fee and William Burgess. Elliot popped up again to take the lead but this was short lived as Holland equalized from another defensive blunder. As with the first encounter the score ended 2:2 with Redhill wishing they had taken their chances.
