Redhill Town FC report for 5-6 th Feb 2011

Another great week of football with many teams winning or drawing  their matches. We also had the under 7's inaction though unfortunately because of their age and FA Rules we can't publish any details. Some pictures from the match can be viewed at the end of the report.

WOLVES U9B 4 v 2 REDHILL TOWN U9 match report

Redhill Town suffered their third league defeat 4-2 against Wolves B.
The first half saw some great speedy wing play by Joshua Jeffrey and Luke Stevens hitting some great crosses into the box, giving Redhill Town many chances to score, but it was Wolves who managed to get the first goal to go in 1-0 up at half time.   The second half saw Haydn Puttick  take control of the midfield winning important tackles in midfield and showing some amazing dribbling skills which saw him many times come so close to scoring his first goal of the season. Kane Taylor played out of his skin at centre-back to keep Redhill Town in the game with some intelligent defensive decisions. Zach Layne and Darren Smith both score in the second half, but Wolves score three more goals to take the victory 4-2.
Man of the match: Kane Taylor

RTFC U10 8 – 3 West Byfleet FC

U10s top the league
Top of the league clash saw Redhill Town U10s hit the top spot again after a 8-3 win over West Byfleet FC.Stubbs, Wooster & Pope did little to stop the blushes of the furious Byfleet keeper. Denyer, Roda & Storey worked the ball whilst Wooster worked hard on the flanks deserving his hat-trick, Pope notched up his 41st goal in just 9 games but man of the match went to Pederson who boxed in the visitors and gave the opposition no time or place to play!

Redhill Town U13's 5 v 2 Monotype u13's

Redhill U 13's won the local derby against Monotype, after an early scare where Monotype took the lead the Reds bounced back
with a fine 25 yard goal from Seb Flint which smashed in off the corner of the post.
The second half started brightly for the Reds when they took the lead from a long range Dylan Charman free kick.
Monotype came back an equalised to make it 2 -2, but this did not last long as the Reds increased the lead from an own goal after good pressure.
Reds fourth goal was a spectacular strike from Tom Charlton from midway inside the Type half which cruised into the roof of the net.
The final and Reds fifth goal of the game was another long range free kick from Dylan Charman from outside the penalty box which left the keeper with little chance.
With several key members of the team under the weather it was an excellent all round performance.
Team: Josh Stevens, Ben Williams, Kallum Cole, Joley Lawrence, Adam Endsleigh, Max Geddes, Luke Charlsley, Dylan Charman, Tom Charlton, Seb Flint, Aaron Holder.

RTFC u14B 2-2 Woodmansterne Hyde

Redhill Town U14s B battled hard against Woodmansterne Hyde and were unlucky not to take all the points, Rodgers & Sandiford scoring one a piece thought they had done enough to secure the win but the visitors pressed hard for the last minutes of the game boxing town in their half and were clearly relieved to take a share of the points.
