Caterham Pumas 1 vs 8 Redhill Town U11

Having had only one pre season game to date where Redhill struggled to get a foothold in the game hopes for the Little Red Devils were not too high when only 7 players showed up for their 1st 9v9 league game, however any worries were soon put to bed against a full strength Pumas side who also had subs as D. Smith opened his account for the season scoring the first goal of the game. Redhill were flying and within minutes Smith added his second. Relentless in their efforts and with disregard for being the disadvantaged team Smith completed his hat-trick with a great strike. New addition V. Vytolik closed the half with his first goal after terrorising three Pumas defenders with skill on his way to scoring.
The second half saw Redhill field 8 players, still disadvantaged but strengthened for the additional player. Vytolik soon began as he ended the last half picking up the ball at the half way, skinning his marker and running through on goal to finish with his left. The game proceeded in the same vein with Vytolik adding a further two i similar fashion. Pumas seeked consolation scoring a penalty with an unluck B. Payne getting a hand to the strike. Finally J. Bayode completed the rout with a tidy finish celebrating in a Drogba-esque fashion; 8-1. Great start to the season.

Epsom & Ewell Youth League Division One - Old Coulsdon Colts U13s 6 Redhill Town U13s 2
Redhill U13s got their season off to a promising start, despite the result. With a team comprising mostly U12s playing up a year, Redhill went behind in the 2nd minute but then soaked up the Coulsdon pressure for quarter of an hour before conceding a further 3 goals in the space of 4 minutes.

Despite being 4-0 down, Redhill's heads didn't drop and they pulled a deserved goal back through Nathan Denyer 10 minutes before half-time.
Redhill raised their game in the second half, and 8 minutes in they reduced the deficit further as Charlie Case-Green's corner was headed onto the post by Robin Lewer, and Ollie Rose thumped home the rebound. Lifted by this second goal, Redhill matched Coulsdon for effort and created further chances which they were unable to convert. Redhill were awarded a rare indirect free-kick after the Coulsdon goalkeeper handled a back pass under pressure, but Harry Pope's shot just failed to cross the line after hitting several players in the Coulsdon goal-line wall. With man-of-the match Daniel Taylor pulling off a string of outstanding saves in the Redhill goal, it looked as if 4-2 would be the final score, until Coulsdon managed two late goals.

FINAL SCORE 2-2 ONWARDS AN UPWARDS

Redhill Town U 15's 4-3 Roundshaw

Redhill Town U 15's started their new league campaign with a 4-3 win at home to Roundshaw.
The Reds opened the scoring with a stunning strike from Luke Charsley, the second goal coming just before half time from Owen Brown who passed two defenders before calmly slotting past the advancing keeper.
The start of the second half saw Redhill start slowly and gave away their two goal lead when a Roundshaw player pounced on a loose ball to give Lewis Markley in the Reds goal no chance.
The two goal advantage was restored when a through ball from James Besley found Owen Brown who complimented the pass by firing his shot pass the keeper.
Redhill increased their lead to 4-1 when a set piece from Adam Endsleigh found Ben Williams who calmly controlled the pass and rifled his shot into the back of the net.
The Reds may have thought that the game was well won as they continued to control the game with fine attacking football. However a succession of missed chances allowed Roundshaw to claw there way back into the game, with a long range free kick that resulted in a goal mouth scramble which the Reds failed to clear only to see the ball prodded in.
In the final minutes the Reds conceded a penalty which was duly converted to leave the score at 4-3.
On another day Redhill could have scored more but a solid performance ensured that they won their opening season's fixture.
Lewis Markley, Aaron Walker, Adam Endsleigh, Joley Lawrence, Harry Stoyle, James Besley, Rob Denyer, Ben Williams, Jack Elliott, Owen Brown, Luke Charsley.
